11th Chinese New Year Extravaganza Recreational Night

I just back from the 11th Chinese New Year Extravaganza Recreational Night organized by Chinese Language Society of Multimedia University (Malacca Campus) in Main Hall. There were many peoples attended that recreational night, such as students from various races, representatives from other societies, representatives students from Cyberjaya Campus and many more. The VIP for the night were the advisor of Chinese Language Society and Mr Syukor Hashim from Student Affair Department.

The program was started at 8pm, began with the speech of Organizing Chairperson of 11th Chinese New Year Extravaganza, followed by the speech of President of Chinese Language Society and last speech was given by the advisor of Chinese Language Society. The program continue with the "Lao Sheng" ceremony. The purpose of Chinese people having "Lao Sheng" is mean to bring prosperity and happiness and great fortune. Chinese Yoyo is the first show to entertain the audiences. There were some kids playing Chinese yoyo and showing their skills. Brilliant skills as they are only small kids. After that, continue by "Xiang Sheng" which means 2 people came out on the stage and talked on conversation like a story (related to Chinese New Year). It's so funny and interesting.

24 seasonal drum took over the stage after the "Xiang Sheng". The performance from the Multimedua University's students were very outstanding tonight. Then, they having a lucky draw and 8 lucky person won back a hamper. The performance that I liked the most tonight was the South Lion Dance. The dancers are so professional and doing some risky action frequently. It was so nice performance from the lion dance. After that was the Chinese Cultural Dance or known as flag (male) and fan (female) dance. The last show of the night was Theatrical performances. It was full of moral lesson story although I found out it was a bit boring.. Hehe..
When it comes to end, there was 1 more lucky draw. The gift will be Sony Cybershot Digital Camera. Fulamak, so syok la... Congrates to the winner..

The program ends at 11.45pm. I had learned many things especially Chinese Cultural with attending this recreational night. Overall, the performance was good and I will go for the 12th Chinese New Year Extravaganza Recreational Night next year. It's nice!

Internet Connection Problemzzz...

Last few days I got suffered with the Internet connection again. The connection was down and hard to search for information, also cannot update my blog. Everything cannot be done and was extremely boring. MMLS, Online System, Friendster etc etc all cannot be open.

Because of that, me and my housemates went to Jonker Street to have a walked on last Saturday. There were many peoples at there and we all were packed like a sardine in a can. It's too hard to walk and I had never seen so many peoples at there, maybe because of the Chinese New Year is around the corner, so I guess many people came out from the house and had a walked with the family members.

After about 10 minutes walked, my housemates and I saw a group of people stand around a person in the middle. At first I think what the heck so many peoples stand at there plus it's so crowded and hot. I guess maybe they looked for the magician showed his skills, but I got shocked because not the magician there, and he was the Ketua Menteri Melaka, YAB Datuk Seri Haji Mohd Ali Bin Mohd Rustam standing there talked with the peoples and sellers around there.
So happy because it was my 1st time to see the Ketua Menteri Melaka. If not, I only have a chance to see in the television.

After spent time about 1 and a half hour at there, we went back home and at that time the peoples were still there.
