Badminton Super Series Tournament is back. For those badminton fans, Malaysia will be the 1st country to held the super series. This tournament will be held from 15th January to 20th January 2008 in Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil.
The draw lot for this Malaysia Open Super Series was not on national players side, because they had to meet their team-mates in the 1st round of the tournament. For Men's Single, World Number 2 Player, Lee Chong Wei face his team-mate, Muhd. Hafiz Hashim in the 1st round of the tournament. Both of them had promised will play seriously and think of their opponent as enemy and not friend.
This Super Series Tournament is very important for all the players to make more preparation to face Olympic Games in Beijing, 2008 and Thomas Cup in the upcoming months. According to the Malaysia's Coach, he said he more concerns about the Olympic Games rather than Thomas Cup, but it does not mean that they no need to play seriously in Thomas Cup. Men's Double Coach, Rexy Mainaki had mentioned that if the men's double players fail to win back a gold medal for that event in Olympic Games in Beijing, he will resign as a Malaysia's Men-Double Coach.
