PMR result released

After UPSR, now is the turn for PMR candidates to know their result. For this year, there are 27,668 candidates get full A's in all subjects taken, compared with 20,154 candidates in 2006 and 20,101 in 2005. This shows that our national education system had successfully created many excellent students. On the other hand, there was about 559 students get straight E's in all the subject taken compared with only 524 candidates last year.

The highest increasing rate of the subject for this year is Mathematics. There is about 87% of candidates pass that subject compared with only 82.8% last year. Four of the core subjects showed a pass rate above 90%. They were History (93.5%), Geography (93.3%), Bahasa Melayu (93.1%) and Islamic Studies (92.4%). Meanwhile, Science showed a slight drop in pass rates from 90.2% last year to 89.1%. However, the number of students who scored an A improved by 1% to 17%. The Bahasa Melayu paper also improved with 26.7% of candidates scoring As compared to 22.6% last year.

For those candidates who scored well in their PMR examination, congratulations to all of you and work hard for upcoming SPM in the next 2 years.

PMR... I took it 10 years ago ! OO my, long long time ago.... Getting older n olderrrrrrrrrrrr :P
